Hello, Everyone! My name is Heather and I finally started my blog after my friends and family encouraging me to share the food I make. I've always loved cooking but when I figured out I was gluten sensitive a couple years ago I really needed to step up my game. It took me a while to figure out the GF lifestyle and eating out so I made it a point to play around with cooking at home. I tried making some of my favorite things chalked full of gluten to a now more body friendly gluten free. I've had a blast exploring new recipes and making some up myself.
Now gluten free is more accessible and the food quality has gone WAY UP but there are still some haters out there that think it's dry and tasteless. I love having those people over to dinner and giving them a meal that's full of flavor and soul warming while also being gluten free. One way I show my love for people is to have them over for dinner. Nothing is better than filling someone's belly and soul with a meal cooked from the heart.

I'm obviously not just a home cook, there's much more to me than a tasty meal. I'm a physical therapist specializing in manual therapy. I love helping people and getting them get back to the life they want! There are little things more rewarding than the huge smile or happy tears of someone who realizes that they are going to be ok and achieve the goals they have set out for themselves. I am also a wife of a loving man. He's my best food taster and a very biased food critic (have to an ego boost every now and again!). We just recently moved to Orange County, California from Connecticut and are enjoying the new pace of life. I'm originally from a ski town in Colorado where the pace of life is slow and it's nice to get back to that relaxed lifestyle (not that I didn't LOVE living just outside NYC). My husband is from Turkey which has opened my eyes to a whole new cuisine that I'm loving to explore and make gluten free.

This April we will welcome our first child and I'm so looking forward to cooking and baking for her! Hopefully I'll have another biased food critic on my side :-)
